State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer celebrated the success of the Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleading Champions during their visit to the Illinois State Capitol this week. The team, led by Coach Emily Hudson, secured multiple prestigious titles in the 2024 cheerleading season.

According to Rep. Davidsmeyer, "This is the third year in a row for the JMS Cheer Team to win the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) Championship!" The team's remarkable achievement demonstrates their dedication and skill in the competitive cheerleading arena.

In addition to their ICCA Championship win, the Jacksonville Middle School Cheer Team also claimed victory as the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Champions for the Small Team Routine Division. Furthermore, they were recognized as the overall 3rd Place Winners of the 2024 IESA Championships in Illinois.

Rep. Davidsmeyer extended his congratulations to Coach Emily Hudson and the entire JMS Cheer Team, stating, "Congratulations Coach Emily Hudson and the JMS Cheer Team!" The team's outstanding performance has brought pride to their school and community.
